Iraq - Care Home for Elderly Christians 20-1024
Country: Iraq, Middle East and North Africa
![]() |
This care home was established in Baghdad in 1973 and offers its services free of charge. It used to be supported by donations from local Christians. But so many Christians have fled Baghdad since 2003 because of the anti-Christian violence that there is no longer enough support to cover the basic running costs. Amongst these is the cost of electricity, including fuel for a generator which is essential where power cuts are common for up to 20 hours a day. Barnabas Aid is assisting.
