Sustainable livestock farming to support Christian evangelists in Nepal

5 August 2026

Before He returned to heaven, the Lord Jesus called His disciples together on the mountainside in Galilee.

There He proclaimed, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:18-20).

This is the Great Commission – the Church’s call to evangelise the world.

Your call.

Right now, this call is being enacted by evangelists in Nepal – local believers seeking to make Christ known among their fellow countrymen.

They are working in a context of hostility, in which Christians are treated with suspicion and sometimes even violence by religious nationalists among the Hindu majority, while also enduring severe poverty and hardship.

They need your help.

Our project partner wants to set up three sustainable livestock initiatives – chickens, pigs and cows – in order to generate an income to support the work of evangelism and discipleship.

“Profits generated from these initiatives will be reinvested into local ministry activities, supporting evangelism, discipleship, church planting and outreach among the least-reached communities,” says our partner.

“The project will also provide practical examples of local sustainability and stewardship for churches and Christian ministries throughout Nepal.”

Can you help strengthen the Church in Nepal?

God willing, we will provide 200 chickens, ten pigs and ten cows.

But none of this is possible without you.

By donating today, you are taking part in the Great Commission, the call of Christ. By praying, you can remind your brothers and sisters that Christ is with them always, all the way to the end (Matthew 28:20).

How you can pray

We pray that the provision of these animals will enable this work to continue and grow.
