“You came when we needed you most,” the woman continued. “I have lost family members, and you are bringing comfort and taking care of the injured from these attacks.
“God has provided. Like Jesus, you have brought healing. We are grateful.”
Barnabas Aid supporters funded the provision of hygiene items, mosquito nets and blankets in Plateau’s Bokkos Local Government Area. It was here in April 2025 that at least 40 people were killed and more than 1,000 displaced as Islamist terrorists attacked several Christian communities.
The attacks were described by Solomon Dalung, a Nigerian politician and lawyer, as acts of “terrorism” and “genocide”.

Terrorists affiliated to Islamic State (IS, ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) and Al Qaeda, along with other armed groups such as the Fulani militia, have slaughtered tens of thousands of believers in northern and Middle Belt Nigeria.
“We have been able to attend to the injured,” said our project partners in Plateau. “We also helped those who had been ill even before the attacks but were unable to go to any hospital – both because they didn’t have the money, but also because of the risks of getting killed on the way.”
“This has been life saving for so many vulnerable people in so many villages in central Nigeria,” they added.
One beneficiary, who received blankets and hygiene items, as well as medical checks, explained, “This is something we cannot afford because we lost everything in the attack.
“I cannot thank you enough. May God continue to bless you all.”
