“We sow seeds in our hearts, which is God’s Word that should grow,” said nine-year-old Karolina explaining what she had learned at a kids’ camp in Armenia.

Thanks to your gifts, she was among 70 children and teenagers from impoverished Christian families who enjoyed fellowship, sports, and spiritual enrichment at the five-day residential camp.

Many participants had suffered previous trauma. They included children like Karolina whose families fled the Christian enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh in 2023, following the Azerbaijan invasion.

The camp, called Good Seeds, gave the children spiritual, emotional, and physical refreshment. “The children experienced God’s love and care in a tangible way,” said our project partner.

Nine-year-old Anna, whose family also fled from Nagorno-Karabakh, said she especially enjoyed finding out more about prayer and learning new songs.

She explained, “What I know about prayer is that it is a conversation with God. Sometimes God doesn’t give the answer to our prayer immediately, but He invites us to wait till the proper time comes.”

How You Can Pray

Lift up to the Good Shepherd the 70 children attending the kids’ camp, many of whom have experienced the trauma of persecution and hostility in their young lives. Pray for their emotional well-being and ask that the children will continue grow in their love and joy in Christ. Pray also for their families that they will know hope and peace.
