Please Help the Victims of Islamist Violence in D. R. Congo

November 6, 2025

Put yourself in their place.

You’re in church on Sunday, praying and praising God.

And then you hear gunfire. The realization dawns that the terrorists are on their way – and it may already be too late to escape.

At least 34 Christians were slaughtered at a church service in Ituri, north-eastern D. R. Congo. Now you can bring peace and comfort to the survivors and the wider community

To us, this is an implausible nightmare scenario.

For our brothers and sisters in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, it is their constant reality.

Islamic State terrorists have killed more than 600 Christians in targeted attacks across the country’s north-east in just the last ten months.

In one of the worst atrocities, at least 34 were slaughtered at a late-night church service in Komanda, Ituri Province.

A mass burial for the victims of an Islamic State Central Africa Province attack on a church in Komanda, Ituri Province, in August.

Barnabas Aid project partners have drawn up plans to reach suffering Christians with emergency food aid, as well as farming tools and seeds to supply their needs in the longer term.

The beneficiaries will include survivors of the attack, as well as those among the wider Christian community.

Please prayerfully consider donating today. Please bring our persecuted family before the throne of grace. Please share Christ’s love with those who have endured unspeakable evil.

How You Can Pray

Our Father, we ask You to bless this work on behalf of those who have suffered for the Name of our Savior. Please meet both their material needs and their spiritual needs. Please grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), through Jesus Christ our Lord.
