It begins with an accusation.
Something you’ve done or something you’ve said. Something that has caused outrage and anger.
Your words might have been twisted. Or the accusation might be completely false. But nobody cares. As a Christian, you are already guilty in their eyes.
This is the reality for many of our brothers and sisters in Pakistan.

Aasia Bibi spent nearly eight years on death row after being convicted of “blasphemy” against Muhammad, the prophet of Islam. She was acquitted in October 2018 – but many others are still subject to the same kinds of allegations
Believers here are regularly falsely accused of “blasphemy”. Simply stating certain Christian beliefs might be considered “blasphemy” by some Muslims. Often false allegations are made by extremists simply to cause trouble for Christians.
Being found guilty of “blasphemy” can lead to a life sentence. The law requires that the most serious “blasphemy” offences are punished with death.
Pakistani Christians are often illiterate. They struggle to understand the legal process or the courts that hold over them the power of life and death.
They need your help.

Christian lawyers work for justice on behalf of their victimised or falsely accused brothers and sisters. They need you to support their work
Our project partners are a legal team that works to advise and represent marginalised Christians – believers accused of “blasphemy”, parents whose children have been abducted and forced into marriage, the victims of violence and abuse.
They charge no fees from those they represent.
Could you donate to help fund their vital work of justice? Can you pray urgently to our Lord, who loves justice, on behalf of the falsely accused and those who represent them?
In the words of the Lord, “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed” (Isaiah 1:17).
How you can pray
Lord God and Heavenly Father, we cry out to You on behalf of our family in Pakistan enduring persecution and injustice. We pray for the falsely accused and the victims of oppression, asking that You will give justice to Your afflicted ones (Psalm 72:2). Please continue to bless the work of the Christian lawyers who labour on behalf of their mistreated brothers and sisters, because we ask it in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
