“Every time we gather at the church, borewell stands as a living testimony of God’s faithfulness and love,” said Pastor Monoj in Madhya Pradesh, India.
This church was one of five Christian communities in in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to benefit from a new borehole and a clean supply of water, funded by Barnabas Aid’s supporters.
In many rural communities of India, access to clean drinking water, one of the most basic human needs, has become a serious challenge. In several villages, followers of Jesus Christ are often denied access to shared water sources.
Christians in five villages in central India now have access to clean drinking water through Barnabas-funded borewells
Women, children and elderly people must walk long distances to find water.
The lack of access to clean water affects not only their health and daily living, but also their dignity as members of society.
By establishing the borewells in believers’ homes and church premises, this project has ensured that Christian families have access to clean, safe drinking water without fear of discrimination.
“The moment the borewell became operational, it was a blessing beyond words,” continues Pastor Manoj. “It has brought not only relief from a physical need but also joy, encouragement, and a deep sense of God’s care in our lives.
Thank you for being a blessing to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
How you can pray
Praise the Lord for the faithfulness and love that He has once again shown to His people. Pray that our brothers and sisters in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will have their faith strengthened as well as their physical needs met. Remember those followers of Christ who are denied water and other basic needs because of their faith in Him.
