Imagine being forced to flee your home.
Now, imagine that you were able to return – only to be forced once again to leave everything behind.
This is the recent experience of so many of our brothers and sisters in southern Lebanon, victims of the ongoing conflict that has afflicted the whole Middle East.
Death and destruction have once again come to Lebanon. Will you pray for your brothers and sisters caught in the conflict?
“When the war started, we had to leave,” says “Sara”. Along with her husband and children, she has been displaced from her home in a historic Christian village.
“When we fled the first time, we had planted cucumbers and tomatoes – and we lost the whole season,” she explains.
“We lost a lot of money and all our agricultural tools.
“We went back, fixed things, and slowly started rehabilitating our house to be as it was before – but we had to be displaced again, and the house was destroyed again.”

How you can pray
Our Father, please strengthen the faith and resilience of our suffering brothers and sisters in Lebanon. Please encourage those who have left their homes and historic Christian lands that, even in displacement, they have not left the presence of their faithful God. We pray that this distribution of aid will sustain them physically and strengthen them in their faith, for we ask it in our Saviour’s Name.
