One worshipper was killed and at least 20 others abducted as suspected Fulani Islamists attacked a church in Kogi State, central Nigeria, on Sunday 14 December.

The terrorists stormed the church in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area (LGA) during a Sunday service.

The incident is the second church attack in Kogi in the past two weeks.

On Sunday 30 November unidentified gunmen raided a church service in Yagba West LGA, abducting the minister, his wife and more than 10 others.

Abductions of church leaders and other Christians by both Islamists and criminal gangs are common in northern and Middle Belt Nigeria.

How you can pray

Ask the Lord to comfort the bereaved family and community of our murdered brother in Christ. Pray that He will be with those abducted from churches in Kogi State, and ask that they will soon be released, safe and unharmed.
