How many Bibles do you own?
Like many Christians in this country, you probably have at least two or three copies of the Scriptures.
And why not? The Word of the Lord is the most valuable thing we can have.
Yet many of your brothers and sisters around the world do not have a Bible of their own – among them, Christians in the Buddhist-majority South Asian nation of Bhutan.

“Bhutan presents a highly restricted environment for Christian materials, making access to Bibles both difficult and limited,” say our project partners.
“Many pastors and church leaders lack sufficient Biblical knowledge due to this scarcity, which affects their ability to teach and disciple effectively.”
In Bhutan, Christians make up less than 2% of the population.
Churches and individual believers suffer marginalisation and legal restrictions on practising their faith.
Our partners report that believers here yearn deeply for the Word of the Lord to feed their souls and to guide them in becoming more like their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
“Yet without access to Scripture,” they continue, “churches remain under-equipped for the work of discipleship.”
God willing, we aim to supply study Bibles tailored to the needs of pastors engaged in ministry, study Bibles designed for students and young people, and illustrated books of Bible stories for young children.

Thank You Lord for giving us Your Word to be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Please bless the work of distributing Bibles to our brothers and sisters in Bhutan. We pray that the Holy Spirit will speak through the Scripture, guiding these believers in righteousness and increasing their faith in Christ, in whose Name we pray.
