Thirteen people were killed when Fulani militants attacked Christian communities in Plateau State, Nigeria.
The Islamists struck the villages of Rachas and Rawuru in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area on the evening of 14 October.
Among the victims were five children, one of whom was just six years old.

“They were going from house to house, shooting and setting houses on fire for over one hour,” said one survivor. “Corpses were littered all over the place.”
A mass burial was held the following day.
Community leaders named the deceased as Solomon Dung Choji (43 years old), Sunday Gyang Choji (29), Marvelous Chollom (8), Ntyang Chollom Danjuma (6), Chollom Danjuma Chollom (37), Christina Davou Chollom (27), Davou Mallam Chollom (24), Solomon Chung (40), Musa Dung Bot (32), Mancha Monday (12), Mary Monday (10), Kefas Dung Sambo (29), Japheth Solomon (14).

Since 2009 at least 45,000 people have been killed in anti-Christian violence in Nigeria.
Fulani extremists often attack Christian farming communities in Middle Belt states such as Plateau, slaughtering the inhabitants while destroying homes and church buildings.
Whole communities have been displaced, and there are mass graves throughout the region.
