“Now, thank God, I can read the Bible for myself,” said an elderly Egyptian Christian.
After a lifetime of illiteracy, your sister is now able for the first time in her life to read the Word of God for herself.
Thanks to you, around 4,500 Egyptian believers have been blessed through a Barnabas-funded literacy program.
An Egyptian Christian takes part in the literacy program funded by Barnabas Aid’s supporters.
The program helps children and adults struggling with literacy to learn through Scripture-focused study.
The results have been encouraging. Participants have shown increased attendance and engagement in church Bible studies, while children are also demonstrating how they are applying lessons from Bible stories to their daily lives.
Our elderly sister in Christ is also now able to bless the next generation. “I can teach my grandchildren Arabic and maths,” she adds.
Please join us in praising God for His great work of provision on behalf of His people.
How You Can Pray
Praise the Lord for equipping His people to read and to study His Word, and to apply its teaching to their lives. Thank Him for the wider benefits and blessings that literacy brings to individuals, families, and communities Please pray that the blessings of this project will continue to strengthen the Church in Egypt for many generations to come.
