You can shape the lives of Christian children in Myanmar

6 March 2026

Poverty, displacement and the continuation of an oppressive military government.

That is the situation facing Christians in Myanmar.

Your brothers and sisters continue to suffer violent persecution at the hands of Myanmar’s armed forces.

Yet their children’s desperate need for education never changes. Today, your help is needed to shape the lives of those who will help shape the nation’s future.

Can you give hope and a future to Christian children in Myanmar?

Barnabas Aid supporters are already providing education at a new Christian school for 170 children from Christian families caught up in the hostilities.

But without you the school will not have the funds to continue this vital work into the next academic year, when the aim is to increase the number to 200 children.

We need you to make this ambition a reality.

Will you pray for children who have already suffered the brutality of anti-Christian persecution?

Amid the suffering of conflict, you can provide continuity and stability in Christian children’s lives, enabling them to develop confidence, skills and knowledge as they learn and grow in a loving Christian environment.

You can make a difference in the lives of 200 young believers.

Please pray that the Lord will cause this project to grow and children to flourish and help lay the foundation for a more peaceful and prosperous country in years to come. If possible, please consider donating to educate the next generation in Myanmar.

How you can pray

Dear Lord and Heavenly Father, thank You for the provision of education for Christian children amid the uncertainty and unrest in Myanmar. We pray that You will guide and encourage those responsible for managing the school and its staff so that the students will know Your protection as they develop skills and knowledge in a caring, godly environment. We ask that all resources provided will be used wisely to bless Your people in Myanmar, for we ask in the Name of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
