You Can Save Lives in Myanmar

11 December 2025

Imagine gathering for worship, lifting your voice in song, bowing your head in prayer, while the sound of armed conflict echoes in the background.

For families in Christian-majority Karen State, Myanmar, this is not an extraordinary moment but a regular part of everyday faith.

Civil war has raged in Myanmar for over 70 years, escalating after the 2021 military coup. Christian communities face airstrikes on churches, homes, schools – and hospitals.

Can you give persecuted Myanmar Christians the help that they need?

Because of the ongoing violence, the healthcare system has collapsed. Maternal deaths are 13 times higher than in the United States, and preventable child deaths are tragically common.

Our project partner, a Christian-led teaching hospital and trauma center, provides free 24-hour medical care, life-saving surgeries, and spiritual support. Over the next nine months, it expects to serve 7,500 patients, many fleeing violence or injured by attacks.

But medicines, medical supplies, and lab tests are running dangerously low, and local restrictions make them impossible to source nearby.

This is where you can make a real difference.

You have the power to stand with your brothers and sisters in Myanmar today.

Your support equips doctors, nurses, and Christian students to save lives, train new medical professionals, and care for families with nowhere else to turn. Because of your compassion, children can survive preventable illnesses, mothers can give birth safely, and families can experience God’s love in action.

You have the power to stand with your brothers and sisters in Karen State today. Your generosity doesn’t just deliver medical care; it brings hope and life where despair seems overwhelming.

By acting now, you are living out your faith, showing Christ’s love, and being a source of light in one of the world’s most dangerous regions.

How You Can Pray

Our gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for the faith of our brothers and sisters in Karen State, who endure such hardship. Please provide for their urgent needs and strengthen the medical staff and students as they care for the sick and injured. We pray for all affected communities in Myanmar, asking that You bless every effort to bring medical care, safety and hope. May Your love shine brightly through the work of Your people. We ask this in our Savior’s Name, Amen.
