This is the assessment of a Barnabas Aid project partner in central India, a region of intensifying anti-Christian persecution.
Right now, hundreds of your brothers and sisters are being prevented from accessing water unless they do what their persecutors want: deny Christ.
Few of us have ever been targeted in this way.
Sadly, this level of harassment, intimidation and attempted coercion is part of the regular experience of your suffering Christian family.
“They are forced to fetch water from distant villages, often at night and in secrecy,” continued our partner. “The situation is very worrying.”

With your help, our partner aims to construct 13 new boreholes that will provide clean, safe drinking water for an estimated 520 believers.
This project will ensure that Christians are no longer dependent on hostile communities for water.

How you can pray
Lord God, we lift up to You the needs of our persecuted brothers and sisters. Please strengthen them in their holy faith as they endure pressure intended to force them to deny Christ. We plead the promise of Your Word that none shall snatch Your people out of Your hands (John 10:28-30). Please bless these efforts to supply these followers of the Saviour with safe, clean drinking water – for we ask it in His mighty Name.
