Provide legal help for persecuted Christians in Pakistan

23 April 2026

They cry for justice – but nobody listens, nobody hears.

Nobody except for the Lord.

And now, you.

The family of 13-year-old Maria are desperate to bring her safely home. Can you help make this hope a reality?

Maria, a 13-year-old Pakistani Christian, was taken away from her family in June last year by a man more than twice her age.

She was forced to change her religion to Islam, and to marry the man who was abducted her.

Maria’s distraught parents reported this crime to the police, to no avail. Disgustingly, a local court then decided to award custody of Maria to her abductor. Worse, in March this year, the Federal Constitutional Court upheld this appalling decision.

Barnabas Aid’s project partners are a legal and human rights organisation. They plan to appeal this case to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. God willing, justice will be served.

But we need your help to make this happen.

Barnabas Aid’s project partners provide legal support for the father of 14-year-old Jameel, a young man who was abducted by his Muslim employer and forced to convert to Islam. Please support this vital work of justice

Maria’s case is just one example of the injustices that face so many of your brothers and sisters in Pakistan.

Abductions. Child marriage. Forced conversion. False “blasphemy” allegations. Property theft.

Christians in in Pakistan are an oppressed, voiceless minority.

By praying and giving towards this effort, you can be a voice for the voiceless – a partner in a work of justice being carried out by the Lord, who loves justice (Psalm 37:28).

How you can pray

Father God, we pray for our brothers and sisters in Pakistan who experience such injustice. We cry out to you particularly on behalf of Maria and her parents, asking that the family will be reunited soon. Please grant wisdom and success to Barnabas Aid project partners as they pursue justice in this and other cases, because we ask it in our Saviour’s Name.

How you can give

$42 could provide a week’s supply of food for a persecuted family cut off from their usual source of income

$97 could contribute to court and legal expenses (ten gifts of this amount could cover the total)

$395 could contribute towards the costs of a lawyer to represent a Christian family in the Supreme Court (five gifts of this amount could cover the total)
