The Word of God instructs us to “be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people” (Ephesians 6:18). International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church is a key opportunity to fulfil this Biblical command and draw near to our Father’s throne of grace.
You can join Barnabas Aid’s online prayer meeting.
When: Saturday 31 October, 5pm – Monday 2 November, 1am
Where: Online
Wherever you are in the world, you can join us for our online prayer meeting.
The event will last for 32 hours, beginning at 5pm, Saturday 31 October, and ending at 1am, Monday 2 November, ensuring that believers across time zones can united in intercession for their persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ.
The event will begin at sunrise in New Zealand and continue until sunset in the western United States. Focused times of prayer will be led by Barnabas Aid teams across New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the UK, Europe, Brazil and the US, along with partners in each region.
You can join with your church, small group, or just you! Participate in this global time of prayer to hear live updates and prayer requests from Barnabas Aid teams and to stand alongside suffering and persecuted believers.
Wherever you are, and whatever your Christian walk has been, unite with us in prayer and intercession on behalf of our persecuted brothers and sisters.
By God’s grace, your prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16).
When Pastor Nihad Hassan was released from prison in Syria, it was because of the prayers of the Lord’s people. When our brother Nadeem Masih was acquitted of a false “blasphemy” charge in Pakistan, it was because believers cried out for justice. When persecuted Christians are not delivered from their suffering, but nonetheless persevere in their faith, it is because of their prayers and yours.
The Lord is both powerful and compassionate. He delights to hear us pray, and He is both willing and able to act.
